The jury of the forty-eighth edition of Humorists in Marostica awarded the International Chess Grand Prix 2018 to Bernard Bouton (France), the Special Prize >“Marco Sartore” to Toti Buratti (Italy), the Sandro Carlesso” Special Award to Alireza Karim Moghaddam (Iran).

Their interpretation of "Water", the theme of the prestigious edition, convinced the jury chaired by Giromini Feruccio, who also awarded the International Humorists Award to Marostica with equal merit. Seloi Peters (Brazil), Luiun (China), Marco Spadari (Italy), Jean Loic Belom (France), Krzysztof Grzondziel (Poland), Ali Sur (Turkey) and Christine Traxeler (France).

The jury's verdict comes after a long selection of 329 authors from 55 countries: a particularly generous edition that marks a milestone for the Marostice Graphic Group, promoter of the historic international humorous graphics competition.

The organization is now working on setting up the exhibition of the 48th edition of Umoristica a Marostica at the Lower Castle, in addition to the works of winners, will host a selection of the many works received.
