The jury of the forty-eighth edition of Humorists in Marostica awarded the International Chess Grand Prix 2014 to Junior Lopes (Brazil), the Special Prize >“Marco Sartore” to Maria Grazia Quaranta “Gio” (Italy), the Sandro Carlesso” Special Prize to Petry and Crisan (Romania).

Their interpretation of "Bread", the theme of the prestigious edition, convinced the jury chaired by Omar Figueroa Turcios, who also awarded the International Humorists Award to Marostica with equal merit to Slawomir Luczynski (Poland), Ricardo Ferreira (Portugal), Olesky Kustovsky (Ukraine), Marco Spadari (Italy) and Seyran Caferli (Azerbaijan).

The jury's verdict comes after a long selection of 279 authors from 53 countries: a particularly generous edition that marks a milestone for the Marostice Graphic Group, promoter of the historic international humorous graphics competition.

The organization is now working on setting up the exhibition 47^edizione di Umoristica a Marostica al Castello Inferiore, oltre alle opere dei vincitori, ospiterà una selezione di tanti lavori pervenuti.

Exhibition opening and inauguration

The exhibition can be visited from May 21st to June 12th 2016 from Tuesday to Sunday, with timetable from 09.00 to 12.00 and from 15.00 to 18.00. Opening on Saturday 21 May at 5pm. Free admission.

“Humorists in Marostica” is organized by the Marostica Graphic Group in collaboration with the Municipality of Marostica and with the support of Fondazione Banca Popolare di Marostica – Volksbank.
